The VU4PB Andamans DXpedition

The Andaman and Nicobar islands (VU4) were activated by a team put togerher by the ARSI. This was a good chance to work this entity on all bands and modes. The operation was good, as expected, as we had some pretty good ops out there.  I managed to work them on 13 band/mode slots.

Worked E4X today!

Found Palestine, E4X on 15m RTTY and managed to work him in a couple of tries. He was operating split and I worked him 2 up. All time new one for me! QSL info is via EA5RM.

Back on the air!

After many months of inactivity, it was great to get back on the air and make a few contacts! The last time I was active was for a couple of days in Feb. ’10 when I participated in the WPX RTTY contest.

I was on PSK on 20m and heard some nice signals. It was also good to work VU2ATN/Atanu on PSK for the first time.

This is also the first time I used the new D945GCLF2D-powered shack computer for two way contacts. Earlier, I had tested it with CW Skimmer and SoftRock 20m SDR on the Reverse Beacon Network.
